About Empty Bowls
Empty Bowls is an annual event that increases awareness of community food insecurity while raising funds for local Food Banks.
Funds raised through Empty Bowls of the Permian Basin support the various initiatives of the West Texas Food Bank, all supporting families and children in the Permian Basin.
This event brings local ceramic artists together to make ceramic bowls that are donated for the event, allowing the community to purchase handmade bowls.
In addition, the artists offer opportunities for community members to create and decorate ceramic bowls for this project as well, allowing them the experience to create and donate art!
